Replacing the highly popular 100 Series HD machines, these mowers provide increased durability, enhanced features and a cleaner look for years of low maintenance hay production. The rugged 100 Series cutterbar provides a clean cut. Its flat angle helps keep dirt and other contaminants out of the crop while increasing knife life. An optional hydraulic pivot system eliminates the need to get off the tractor when transitioning between field and transport. Proven 100 Series Cutterbar
Due to the high reliability, excellent crop cutting, and overall adaptability to varying terrains, the 100 Series cutterbar is a staple in the Premium Series. See for yourself by taking a closer look at what the 100 Series cutterbar has to offer.
- Withstands the highest loads: special high-capacity bearings fitted in a one-piece sealed housing are not subject to distortion.
- Increased service life: disc pinion shaft bearings endure radial forces for maximum bearing life. This optimum position improves the load balance.
- Protection should an obstacle be struck: the Protectadrive® system is designed to protect the cutterbar gear train and minimizes the risk of downtime.
- High-wear resistance: knife attachment hardware is fully protected. For added safety, heat-treated steel cups are welded to the disc.
- Minimum wear or distortion risks: idler gear fasteners are located in heat treated steel cups. Correct alignment is ensured without the risk of distortion.
- Long-term reliability: large-diameter gearwheels in high-tensile forged steel with reinforced teeth.
- Perfect sealing: top-quality o-rings used on cutterbar bearing housings for a perfect, leak-free seal.

Heavy-Duty Discs
These discs offer a service life that outmatch all other discs on the market and are adapted to intensive mowing conditions. The GMD Premium Series mowers are equipped with heavy-duty discs, as standard. Beveled knives are standard and ribbed knives are optional.
The shape of the discs allows for a quick transfer of crop rearward, allowing the crop to quickly be formed into a swath. A recut of the grass is therefore avoided. As crop leaves the cutting area, no outside support greatly reduces the chance of crop wrapping.
Swath Wheel
The Premium Series comes standard with an outside swath wheel. The swath wheel improves crop flow by providing more positive engagement of crop to leave the cutterbar, especially in taller crops.
Cutterbar Frame Support
The cutterbar and curtain frame are supported on the outside of the machine. The support frame is equipped with two integrated bumpers to reduce shocks from the cutterbar when working in rough field conditions.
Exceptional Terrain Following
Lift-Control Hydropneumatic Suspension
Lift-Control is much more than just a suspension system with a nitrogen accumulator replacing the traditional spring. The main advantage of the Lift-Control system is derived from the exclusive way in which kinetic forces that act on the cutterbar are utilized. KUHN engineers have succeeded in making a dynamic suspension system, as opposed to the passive system most commonly used.
With the Lift-Control system, as the force exerted on the cutterbar increases, the suspension system automatically lightens the cutterbar. The greater the force, the lighter the cutterbar.

Easily Adjustable Overlap
For a clean cut on slopes and bends, the overlap between the front and rear units can be adjusted hydraulically between 12” and 18” (depending on the model combination) – even while driving. This is a real benefit for tractors with wide wheel spacing or large wheels.
FlexProtect™: Flexible Protection
FlexProtect™ side shields protect the edges of the machine from damage when driving along field edges or near obstacles. The side shields, made of high-density polythene material, will bend without breaking or damaging the mower. The material then returns back its original shape. When operator’s switch to the transport position, the FlexProtect side shields can quickly be folded up on both sides to reduce transport width.

Maintenance-Free Drive Shaft
The direct design provides easy access for servicing and fully eliminates belts. Reliability is greatly improved when working in longer, tough or lodged crops. Unlike competitive models that require daily greasing, the driveshaft to the cutterbar uses maintenance-free U-joints. These joints reduce overall maintenance and eliminate excessive wear from improper lubrication.

EQUIPMENT
Fast-Fit
kit can be added. The Fast-Fit quick-release knife system allows quick changing of knives with the use of a simple tool, yet still provides the optimum cut quality and knife life seen with the standard system. With Fast-Fit, you can achieve up to 50% time savings.
Cutterbar Lifting Skids
These lifters are available for mowing conditions which require elevated cutting heights. Up to 3.5” (90 mm) are possible. They will also prove useful in wet and sticky mowing conditions.
Offset Capability
The mower comes standard with the ability to hitch to the tractor with an offset of up 2” to the left or the right. This allows the operator to achieve the full cutting width using various tire sizes and wheel spacing. An optional extended hitch pin is also available, which allows an offset up to 8” to the right to adopt to very wide tire sizes and wheel spacing.
