Intake Options to Meet Your Operation’s Needs

Pickup

The reliable cam-track steered pickup is built for optimal crop intake, featuring a standard crop roller and a wide 90.55 in. (2.30 m) working width. With four rows of tines spaced at 2.40” (61 mm), it ensures consistent, efficient gathering. The pendulum design, cam-track guidance and overload clutch enhance durability and control. Fixed pickup wheels come standard, with optional pivoting wheels available for added flexibility in the field.

Integral Rotor Technology

Our Integral Rotor system is engineered for optimal performance with a compact design that minimizes the distance between the pickup and rotor—ensuring smooth, efficient crop flow. The integrated large-diameter feed auger boosts throughput while reducing strain on the system. With fewer wearing parts and a low power requirement, it delivers long-lasting reliability and significantly lowers maintenance costs.

OptiFeed & OptiCut 14

Where chopping is not required, the OptiFeed rotor will feed the crop directly into the bale chamber for maximum throughput. The FB 3125 can also be equipped with a cutting rotor, the OptiCut 14. The 14 knives cut the crop to a maximum of 2.75″ and each single knife is spring protected against damage. When the obstruction is passed the knife will automatically return to its cutting position.

Drop Floor Technology

The intake unit is protected by the main PTO clutch. If a plug occurs the PTO clutch is automatically activated. In addition, the complete cutting floor, including the knives, can be lowered. First the cutting floor will be lowered automatically followed by the knives. After the plug is cleared, the cutting floor, including the knives, can be brought back into the working position. In extreme circumstances KUHN provides double security by rotor disengagement clutch which separates the rotor drive so the bale can be finished.

Thought-Out Bale Chamber

Bale Chamber

The split driveline system ensures smooth, efficient operation by distributing power evenly across the machine. The right-hand side drives the bale chamber, while the left-hand side powers the rotor and pickup—delivering balanced performance and reliable functionality in every pass. The 18 PowerTrack rollers equipped with a unique ribbed profile provide optimal traction and compression. Together, with PowerLock, the KUHN fixed balers exceed the requirement in every aspect.

PowerTrack

The 18 steel rollers, with an asymmetrical profile, ensure a reliable bale rotation without stoppages. The PowerTrack rollers start to rotate the core of the bale as fast as possible to ensure maximum compression. Thanks to the asymmetrical profile maximum rotation, traction and compression are assured for producing solid bales.

The high-grade steel rollers are constructed from two overlapped pressed sections which are then fully seam-welded for maximum rigidity. Radial support rings located inside each roller creates additional strength, while the end plate and roller stub shafts are forged in one piece.

PowerLock

An advanced tailgate locking system features two integrated sensors that monitor bale growth, activating the binding process automatically once the bale reaches its maximum size, starting as early as 80% completion. The system is hydraulically locked for secure operation, ensuring consistent performance and peace of mind in the field.

Driveline

Each roller has heavy-duty bearings and are bolted onto the side walls of the bale chamber for easy access and maintenance. The FB 2130 has an automatic cam clutch protection on the PTO drive shaft.

Simple Operation

Reliable Net Binding

Our proven active stretch net binding system ensures consistent, high-quality bale wrapping from start to finish. It features dynamic, uniform stretching with up to 10% pre-stretch for secure coverage. The adjustable net tension, controlled via a variable pulley, guarantees even net spreading throughout the entire roll, delivering reliable performance and professional results every time.

Simple Control with the VT 30

The VT 30 Control Box offers intuitive operation and real-time monitoring, including 80% to 100% bale growth detection and full control over the binding process. Operators can preselect hydraulic functions for the pickup or drop floor (including knives), while the clear machine status display ensures confident, efficient performance in the field.

Less Maintenance

An electrically driven automatic chain lubrication system ensures consistent performance with minimal maintenance. Lubrication length is easily adjustable via the terminal, allowing for precise control. The system is complemented by maintenance-free bearings and lifetime-lubricated roller bearings, delivering long-lasting durability and reducing downtime in the field.
